Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available. Every other weekend required. No call requirement. Block scheduling options available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday).

Highlights:

• Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit with medical-surgical and post-surgical patient population
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1, with maximum of 7:1 only in extreme circumstances
• Epic charting system in use; Epic experience strongly preferred
• Contract available for 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027, covering the holiday season
• Float requirement to other medical-surgical units within the facility based on census needs
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Required skills: IV start, telemetry interpretation and management
• Epic charting experience required; first-time travelers must have Epic experience
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Preferred: ACLS certification, charge nurse experience, Level I trauma experience
