Patient Diagnosis Overview

The acute care units include:

• Intensive Care Unit - General Medical/Surgical Patients
• Acute Care Neuro/Stroke
• Acute Care Cardiology
• Acute Care Oncology/Stroke
• Acute Care Post-Op/Orthopedic

Special Procedures/Unit Details

• ICU: Ventilator Management, Invasive Lines, Renal Replacement Therapy
• Acute Care: Catheter Lab, MRI/PET Scan, Endoscopy, In-House Dialysis

Work Settings Required

• Acute Hospital
• Long Term Acute Care/Rehab/Skilled Nursing

Experience Requirements

Two years of experience is required. The unit is open to accepting first-time travelers.

Dress Code

Business casual dress is required. Scrubs are not permitted.

Case Management/Utilization Review Duties

• Adhere to Admission Criteria
• Handle Appeals and Denials
• Oversee Care Coordination
• Determine Medical Necessity per Evidence-Based Guidelines
• Manage Discharge Planning
• Conduct Disease Management
• Perform Needs Assessment/Order DME
• Develop Plan of Care
• Conduct Pre-Cert Review and Prior Authorizations
