Digital Media Buyer Job at Marshall Advertising, Tampa, FL

  • Marshall Advertising
  • Tampa, FL

Job Description

Marshall Advertising, one of Florida’s largest independent media buying agencies, is seeking a Digital Media Buyer to join our team in Tampa.

Our nationally recognized agency works with clients across diverse industries, including Fortune 500 companies, in more than 50 markets nationwide. This role offers the opportunity to build your digital media skills, contribute to campaign strategy, and work alongside experienced media professionals.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of digital media buying experience and is comfortable managing campaigns from setup through reporting. You should enjoy working with data, solving problems, and translating client goals into effective campaigns across programmatic, paid social, and paid search.

AI, automation, and modern tools are part of how we work. We’re looking for buyers who are curious about new technology, comfortable learning platforms, and willing to experiment with AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to improve research, analysis, reporting, and everyday workflows. You don’t need to be a developer, but an interest in website basics, light coding, scripting, or automation will give you opportunities to contribute. Checking outputs for accuracy and protecting client information are essential.

What You’ll Do
  • Build, launch, and manage programmatic, paid social, and paid search campaigns aligned with client objectives.
  • Research audiences, platforms, placements, and market trends to recommend digital media strategies, budgets, and performance goals.
  • Manage campaign targeting, bidding, budgets, and schedules, monitoring pacing to keep spending aligned with approved plans.
  • Coordinate creative assets, copy, landing pages, and trafficking requirements with account teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Complete pre-launch quality checks, including campaign settings, audience targeting, creative, destination links, tracking parameters, and budgets.
  • Coordinate the setup and validation of pixels, tags, conversion events, and campaign tracking with internal teams, clients, and technical partners.
  • Monitor campaign delivery and performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize toward agreed-upon goals.
  • Plan and evaluate tests across audiences, creative, bidding, and placements, using findings to improve future campaigns.
  • Prepare performance reports and translate results into clear insights, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Participate in client discussions and present campaign strategies, performance, and recommendations as needed.
  • Monitor placement quality, brand safety, viewability, and invalid traffic where applicable, and address concerns with platforms and vendors.
  • Maintain campaign documentation, budgets, approvals, and change records; support invoice review, billing reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Work with platform representatives and vendors to resolve issues and evaluate relevant opportunities.
  • Use AI tools and LLMs to support research, analysis, reporting, and workflow improvements while checking outputs for accuracy and protecting client information.
  • Stay current on platform changes, measurement limitations, data privacy requirements, and emerging digital media tools.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 2 years of relevant digital media experience; 2–3 years preferred.
  • Hands-on campaign management experience and working knowledge of paid search, paid social, programmatic buying, and ad serving.
  • Experience translating client objectives into campaign structures, audience strategies, budgets, and measurable performance goals.
  • Working knowledge of campaign tracking, pixels, tags, conversion events, and tracking parameters, with the ability to identify issues and coordinate fixes.
  • An understanding of digital media metrics, attribution limitations, and how to interpret platform and website analytics together.
  • Strong analytical skills and the judgment to turn campaign data into useful recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain campaign strategy and performance clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and take ownership of campaign follow-through.
  • A willingness to learn new platforms, tools, and approaches to digital media.
  • Hands-on experience or active experimentation with AI tools and LLMs, such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT, for campaign work, analysis, reporting, or creative ideation.
  • Comfort with—or interest in—website basics, light coding or scripting, and building simple automations.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Google Ads, Meta Ads, Amazon Ads, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Benefits
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Generous vacation and days off, including summer hours and your birthday
  • 100% paid short- and long-term disability insurance
  • Maternity/family leave
  • Health insurance eligibility and contribution
